Excellent staff ! I’ve spent two nights in a nice big room the manager was super helpful. Great location at city center right next to the bus and train station. I’ll definitely book there again

Great location in centre of Oxford- perfect! Concierge was so lovely and very helpful- couldn’t have been friendlier. 24/7 helpline assisted me when I couldn’t figure out how to get into the room at 3am (user error!) I don’t know if it is very loud until then (as some reviews say) since that was when I got back, but it’s a bar hotel so probably. Room unremarkable- only weird thing was that there were very few plugs so there were lots of extension cables and plugging my charger into one of them turned off the fan plugged into a different one, and I had to wiggle them a bit to get them to work, so a bit weird. But if you need a place to crash after a night out and don’t want to be taking a bus to headington or paying £££ at fancier hotels I’d go for it.

This place is not for fussy people, but it is place with friendly atmosphere. If you wanna beer, have a good time with friends and watch sports broadcast, this is the right place. If you are Spanish or Italian, and your football team is playing, you just wanna be here to feel the atmosphere. You can come here to enjoy themed nights such as karaoke, salsa etc. Yes. I love to come here and spend my time and money here.

We stayed at this hotel on 15/04/2015, we stayed in room 3. The hotel room was very clean and organized. But there was no fridge, hairdryer and it was loud until 12am (we were warned). When we came down for breakfast the waiteress was very friendly and polite. And the breakfast was very nice.

The hotel is pretty old. However, I think these information and the condition of the rooms are shown in the pictures when you are booking them. If you want the cleaner place, you may want to add few more GBP and look for the newer hotel. The location of the hotel is great as it is almost in the city centre area with walkable distance to most places. There is no parking space, however, there is one big public parking space where it charge you 35GBP for 24 hours. Considering the price of the hotel, it may be pretty reasonable. You MUST know, that this hotel have no elevator / lift. From the entrance, you need to climb up the very long stair to access to the main reception. If you are traveling with elders, kids, disabled, please be aware. This info maybe in the hotel booking description, however, many people might ignore this as it is uncommon for hotel nowadays to not have the elevator. Staff is very friendly and polite though. We've only stayed for one night, therefore, I'm not sure about the room cleaning service. The room only got one small fan made out of plastic. It can be hot during the summer. Beside from this, it is okay for families to stay while traveling Oxford.

Have stopped in here several times for a swift drink. Whoever has taken it over has done fantastic job. Great atmosphere, clean lines and good selection behind the bar. Bar staff are friendly and know their stuff too. Top notch. Thank you.

Dunno what everyone was complaining about. Rooms were good quality, gave us toiletries but no brush. Noise level was negligible but we did get a room further away from the bar on a weekday. Service was fine. Nothing to complain about really.

It's a nice friendly place. Could do with a refit, but actually that might change its personality. Shows sport on tv. A local was reading from a paper, to the world at large, a girl had been arrested for headbutting a man to death. I'm unlikely to forget that story. Cool patrons.
